@ ank: There is nobody living in Pripyat, its forbidden for everybody at night to be in the 10km-zone. But in the 30km-zone about 4000 people live there, all for cleanup and renovation work, mostly Russian an French people.

@ stocks -> there are controle points you have to cross to enter the zone and different spots in the zone, its controled by the Ukrain military...

There are people living in Chernobyl but only the workers or older people who refused to stay away from their native soil.
